Miriam Belblidia

Miriam Belblidia is an MPA student in urban and regional affairs, with a minor in civil security and disaster management. Miriam received her Bachelor's degree in anthropology and political science from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005, graduating with honors. Miriam joined the IISIS staff in 2008 and is currently working on the socioteam for the MITRE project. Prior to joining the IISIS team, Miriam interned with the Center for Hazard Assessment, Response, and Technology (CHART) at the University of New Orleans and coordinated evacuation efforts with the New Orleans Office of Emergency Preparedness. She is currently studying the use of information technology in facilitating community resiliency in areas of high natural risk.
