Steve Scheinert

Steve Scheinert is a PhD student in international security and international development. Steve earned a Master's in Public Policy from the Thomas Jefferson Program in Public Policy in 2006 and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the College of William & Mary in 2004, with honors. Steve is currently working on the PHASYS project, having joined the IISIS Team in 2007, where he began working with data management on a project studying the real-time, official emergency response to Hurricane Katrina in and around New Orleans. Outside of IISIS, Steve has focused on the impact of post-conflict and transitional justice systems on state reconstruction efforts and is now looking to apply the research methods associated with complex adaptive systems to post-conflict reconstruction.
